LAS VEGAS, Nev. -The Charlotte Hornets summer league squad was able to take down the reigning NBA champion summer league team on Wednesday night.

The Hornets toppled Golden State 87-69 in the opening round of the Las Vegas Summer League playoffs. They were able to get scoring contributions from Dwayne Bacon (19 points), rookie Miles Bridges (17 points, 7 rebounds) and Willie Hernangomez (18 points, 13 rebounds).
Injuries hampered the Hornets, as Charlotte was missing Devonte Graham with a right knee injury and Malik Monk with a right thumb sprain.
Charlotte moves on to face the Toronto Raptors at 6 p.m. EST on Saturday night.
