GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A cold front will drop south across the region tonight.

  • Scattered showers and storms will be possible late this evening and then through overnight
  • Mostly sunny and seasonable weather will settle in on Friday
  • Hurricane Chris continues to move NE into the North Atlantic and will weaken by the weekend

As a result, scattered showers and storms will be possible late this evening and then through the overnight hours.

Partly cloudy skies will take hold on Thursday as well. Cooler temps will also be in order but humidity levels will remain on the higher side.

Mostly sunny and seasonable weather will settle in on Friday and then continue through the upcoming weekend.  Highs will reach the upper 80s each afternoon.

In the tropics, Hurricane Chris continues to move NE into the North Atlantic and will weaken by the weekend.  Elsewhere, the remnants of Beryl continue to drift across the Bahamas.  Redevelopment is possible over the next 2-3 days.
