RALEIGH, N.C— Forged Fitness, a CrossFit and martial arts gym in Raleigh, hosted a Hawaiian fundraiser benefiting a fallen family member Saturday.

  • Forged Fitness hosted a fundraiser to honor one of their own.
  • Alex Taylor passed away from cancer and this fundraiser is helping her family with expenses.
  • Self-defense, Muay Thai and Jiu-Jitsu were some of the seminars taught.

The fundraiser was to honor Alex Taylor, who recently passed away from cancer and to help her family with expenses.

The Hawaiian theme was decided on because Alex was known as “The Pineapple Princess”.

Her loved ones at Forged Fitness hosted a community workout with seminars on self-defense, Muay Thai and Jiu-Jitsu.

It allowed even people with no experience to take part in some of the activities Taylor enjoyed.

Forged Fitness says Taylor will be remembered for her strong work ethic and humility throughout her lifetime.

We are all dressed up and ready to go! #ForgedOhana
