GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Greensboro Police Department is investigating three shootings, all fatal that took place Monday. 

  • The first shooting was at Freeman Mill Road and Florida Street.
  • The second shooting was on Cone Boulevard. 
  • The third shooting was on Sumner Ridge Lane. 

The deadly day began with a shooting just before 11 a.m. Monday at Freeman Mill Road and Florida Street.

Greensboro police are looking for a gunman connected to a shooting that left 36-year old Darren Herbin dead.

Hours earlier, Greensboro police were called to another fatal shooting, one at an apartment complex on Cone Boulevard.

One person is dead and another hospitalized after that shooting.

Police say they are still looking for the shooter, who was seen running from the scene.

The most recent shooting took place Monday just before 7:30 p.m. on Sumner Ridge Lane.

Police responded to a call of gunshots and when they arrived they found 28-year-old Michael Ingram.

He was taken to a hospital where he died. No word on any suspects at this time.

Yesterday's shootings mark the 16th, 17th and 18th homicides in Greensboro this year.

Investigators continue doing interviews with possible witnesses and looking for any surveillance footage.
