A warm Father’s Day in the forecast, but even warmer for the work week ahead.

  • A hot week is ahead.
  • Scattered storms possible for Sunday afternoon and evening.
  • Temperatures will cool down a little by next weekend.

If you have outdoor plans for Sunday, the first half of the day would be best. First of all it will be cooler; secondly, we will see scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms develop.  Not everyone will see some rain, but those that do could see substantial rainfall as the storms will be moving very slowly.

Temperatures will be on the rise for the first half of the work week with afternoon temperatures ranging through the 90s.  Heat Index Values will range from 100-109°, so precautions must be taken if you are going to be outdoors during the heat of the day.

All week long we will see scattered thunderstorms develop across the state with temperatures cooling down a little by next weekend.
