Periods of rain and thunderstorms will continue to pass through the region from time to time -- tonight, Thursday, Friday, and even this weekend.

Some pockets of rain will produce torrential downpours and that could lead to urban and street flooding. Meanwhile, additional rain totals of 2 to 3 inches are possible through the weekend and that means area streams, creeks, and rivers will be on the rise. The threat of flooding along these waterways will increase later in the week, and especially over the weekend.

In terms of temperatures, look for warm conditions with highs near 80 and overnight lows in the upper 60s. Very high humidity levels can also be expected.

Long-term weather changes (5 to 7 days from now) seems unlikely at this point. So, continued high rain chances along with warm and muggy weather appears to extend into early next week.
