The heat will continue to build through our Mother's Day weekend. High pressure south and east of us will keep our southwest flow going, driving hotter air into the deep south and mid-Atlantic regions. We will have our first 90s of the season and there may even be some records broken in the Carolina's. There is a slight chance for an afternoon or evening storm on Saturday but Mother's Day should remain dry and hot. Storm chances will increase through next week which cools us off to only lower 80s by Wednesday.
