A large and soggy storm system will begin to lift away from the Triad late tonight, but the storm is moving slow.

  • Soggy conditions could be around until early Wednesday
  • More rain expected Thursday evening
  • Say goodbye to soggy weather for the weekend and possibly into the next workweek

So, additional areas of rain will work through much of the region tonight and early Wednesday.  Drier conditions should gradually return for Wednesday afternoon and then last through early Thursday.  However, another disturbance will sweep across the Carolinas later Thursday evening, and as a result more rain is expected.

In fact, showers may extend into a good chunk of Friday.

That said, all this soggy weather is anticipated to exit the region for the weekend.  Bottom line, we expect sunshine and splendid temperatures for the entire week!  It even looks like very comfortable weather extends into much of the next work week.
