Pleasant weather is ahead for most of this weekend.  Late night and early morning temperatures will be pretty chilly.   Afternoon temperatures will be mild but several degrees below average for the second half of April.

We'll wrap up the work week Friday with sunny skies and highs in the mid 60s across most of eastern North Carolina.  The Outer Banks will only see highs in the 50s.

Clear skies will allow temperatures to drop quickly after sunset Friday night.  Lows near 40 forecast by sunrise Saturday morning.

Saturday and Sunday will be feature plenty of sunshine and highs in the upper 60s to near 70.  Morning lows will drop to the 40s Sunday morning.

Increasing cloudiness is expected late Sunday ahead of low pressure that will bring our next chance for rain during the first half of next week.  A few showers will be possible by late Monday.  A higher chance for rain is forecast for Monday night and Tuesday.
