THOMASVILLE. N.C. -- Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying two armed suspects who attempted to rob the Comfort Inn in Thomasville early Friday morning.

Officers responded to the hotel while visitors slept just before 2 a.m.

The victim told police two armed suspects entered the lobby and demanded money, but the victim was able to escape and call 911.

Surveillance footage shows two white males entering the establishment, one wearing a Steelers coat. One of the suspects jumped the counter, but both men fled once the victim got away.
