After a couple pretty nice days, another storm brings a mess this weekend. It starts by the afternoon as a cold rain but some wet snow will mix in later in the day. For most of us, accumulation will be light with the roads remaining wet. Areas closer to the VA border and near I-77 may have more trouble with as much as 2 inches of snow and slushy roads. Travel to the mountains is not recommended as they may get 4 to 6 inches and even a little more in spots along with some freezing rain. The mountain roads will be a real mess. The rain/snow chance continues through early Sunday. We dry out later Sunday and enter a warming trend next week.
