GREENSBORO -- We now know the 18-year-old accused in Tuesday's assault at Greensboro College is a student and now a former football player. The campus was put on lockdown for some 40 minutes after two college employees were assaulted. Investigators say they've charged Earl Gaddis.

"It's disappointing that it's a student but it would be disappointing in any event," says Lex Alexander, Director of Communications at Greensboro College. "My main concern was just two people that I work with for a long time were hurt and as long as the suspect was off campus and didn't pose any further threat to us that's where my concern has been."

Alexander says the two employees were treated at the hospital for head injuries but are in good conditions back at home. He adds that to his knowledge the suspect is still on the loose.
