We enjoyed a sunny and cool weekend across the Carolinas, outside of the cloudy and windy conditions along the Outer Banks. Here in our area, we will have lots of Monday sunshine, but high clouds will begin to roll in through the day. Temperatures will remain fairly cool with highs in the 50s.

Clouds will thicken and lower through the night, and some rain will arrive by early Tuesday. Look for clouds and the chance of showers at times tomorrow, but rain amounts do not look terribly impressive. Most spots should see less than a half inch, and many areas will likely receive less than a quarter inch. Tuesday will be chilly as well with highs struggling to make the lower 40s.

Wednesday through Friday look quiet, and temperatures will be chilly. In fact, many spots will likely dip into the 20s for lows Thursday and Friday morning.

Our next system will spread in some rain later in the weekend, especially Sunday.

Be sure and check out today's video for much more.
