Highs soared into the upper 70s to lower 80s on Wednesday leading to record warmth across much of North Carolina..  And, with little change in the current moist and warm flow of air off the Atlantic on Thursday, another day of record setting temps is forecast.  Look for highs to climb back into the middle to upper 70s for the Triad.

A weak front will slide to our north on Friday.  That will trim the temps a little, but we still expect highs to reach around 70 through the weekend.  A more impressive rain system will approach the region on Sunday.  This system should bring some rain to the region as well as cooler temps early next week.
