REIDSVILLE, N.C. – Police say a man charged into a bank holding a big stick and yelled “this is a robbery” before jumping over the counter and stealing cash.

According to the Reidsville Police Department, the incident happened at American Partners Federal Credit Union on North Scales Street just before 4 p.m.. The suspect left on foot with an unknown amount of money. Minutes later, he was found in the parking lot of a convenience store by a Rockingham County deputy.

Kendrick Hart, 29, is charged with armed robbery.
