GUILFORD COUNTY -- A video that is making rounds on social media shows a teacher body slamming a student.

Mayo Corrales wrote on Facebook that her son, who is a student at Western Guilford Middle School, was body slammed by a substitute teacher and was suspended for seven days.

The post reads (translated into English): "The day february 14-2018 My son was hit by his substitute in the WESTERN GUILFORD MIDDLE SCHOOL in Greensboro NC , For this fact my son was suspended for 7 days PLEASE I'M ASKING FOR JUSTICE."

She also responded to a comment on the post asking what her son had done, saying, "Nothing, a girl gave him chocolates and the teacher threw them in the sink and when the kid stood up the teacher punched him in the chest and after the class he went over to get the chocolates the teacher then took him and did this to him in the above video! The teacher is actually a minister."

The substitute has been since fired.

The school system said in a statement, "This kind of behavior toward a student is unacceptable. We reported the behavior to law enforcement and will no longer employ this person as a substitute teacher or in any other GSC position."

Greensboro police and the school resource officer say they're in the process of interviewing student witnesses and the substitute teacher.

Since the investigation is in its early stages, they say it's still too early to speculate on any charges.
