GREENSBORO -- "Community Watch" signs are posted all over the City of Greensboro, but police want more people to help be their eyes and ears around the city.

Officers are encouraging people to start or join a community watch group to keep their neighborhoods safe and to get to know their Community Resource Officers.

Community Resource Officer with the Greensboro Police Department, Douglas Campbell, says, "A Community Resource Officer has more time to sit, have a conversation, build a relationship, and work on the on-going problems. If they know me, if they know another officer, they feel more comfortable to reach out to me in particular rather than just calling 911."

Each community has an assigned CRO. To find out who your officer is, click here.
