HIGH POINT, N.C. --An arrest has been made after a shot was fired outside of High Point Central High School Monday afternoon.

The High Point Police Department confirmed the arrest on Twitter Monday night, but have not released the identity of the individual.

A picture of the suspect was sent out earlier in the day. 

High Point Central High and Ferndale Middle Schools were placed under lock-down as police investigated.

There's no word of any reported injuries.

It is unknown what led up to the shot being fired.
