GREENSBORO -- Greensboro police will be increasing enforcement around crosswalks. The move comes after, a woman died Wednesday morning from her injuries after being hit by a car.

Her death makes the 11th pedestrian involved accident so far this year. Officers say as we get closer to the holidays, crashes may increase.

"Greensboro is historical man and folks come and visit,” says Greensboro officer, Deon Carter. “It's just a lot of attractions here and then with the Children's Museum it's just something always going on. Around this time it is an increase because folks want to come and see the lights."

Three people in Winston-Salem and have died this year from pedestrian car crashes and one in High Point.
