CHARLOTTE -- The Charlotte Hornets announced Wednesday morning that Head Coach Steve Clifford will be stepping away from the team for the immediate future to address his health.
According to a news release from the team, there is no timetable for his return.
Associate Head Coach Stephen Silas will serve as acting head coach during Clifford’s absence.
It’s unclear what health issue Clifford is suffering from.
