A strong cold front will sweep across the Carolinas tonight.  Rain showers will accompany the front.  The showers will arrive late this evening and then last into the early morning hours on Wednesday.  Decent rain totals of up to a half an inch are possible, and if that verifies it would be our first good rain in over three weeks!

Mostly cloudy skies are expected for Wednesday along with much colder temperatures and even a lingering late day shower.  After that, another pocket of even colder air will surge into the region late week.  Additional moisture may be near the Carolinas as this colder air arrives and that could set the stage for a few showers and wet snow flakes on Friday.  Finally, very cold overnight lows are expected for the upcoming weekend.
