It was a cold start to our Monday with many lows well down into the 20s this morning. The overall cool November weather pattern will continue through our Thanksgiving week with highs at or below average right through the holiday weekend.

Look for full sun today with highs in the 50s, and then lows will be in the vicinity of freezing tonight.

Highs tomorrow will warm into the mid and upper 50s, and as a coastal low skirts by, some rain will fall along the Coastal Plain Tuesday evening and night. There is a very small chance of one or two showers in the piedmont, but rain chances in any one location are indeed small.

For the big travel day Wednesday, our region looks quiet with intervals of clouds and sun and highs close to 60 locally. Thanksgiving will be cooler with highs struggling to hit 50 in our area, and the generally cool weather will continue right through the weekend.

Late in the week, another coastal low will bring some rain for areas close to the coast once again, but that will likely again miss us to the southeast.

More on all of this, plus some long-range thoughts, in today's video.
