WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Winston-Salem police are investigating a deadly shooting.           

Police say they were called to a home in the 2100 block of East 23rd Street just after 11 p.m. Wednesday for a reported shooting.

When they arrived, officers found Dontrell Warren outside the home with a gunshot wound.

Rescuers took Warren to Baptist Hospital where he later died.

This is the 21st homicide in Winston-Salem this year.
