RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. -- Randolph County deputies have made an arrest in an Asheboro homicide.
They say 20-year-old Samuel Tucker shot and killed Carrie Ann Welch at a home in the 1800 block of Poole Town Road.
Deputies were called to the home Monday in reference to a possible suicide. When they arrived, they found Welch unresponsive and later determined she had been shot.
Tucker is charged with murder and larceny in the incident.
He is being held without bond.
