GUILFORD COUNTY -- A 51-year-old man is unhurt after spending nearly two hours dangling in a tree in Guilford County after a crash involving an ultralight plane.

Emergency crews were dispatched after 4 p.m. to Highway 150 and Browns Summit Road.

Family members say the man was about 150 feet in the air and took a hard right into a patch of trees and got stuck about 45 feet off the ground.

He was flying a device called a "paramotor." It's described as a kite that you fly below, with a fan strapped to your back. You get a running start and the lift is created.

The family says he's flown it before, but is new to the sport.
