NORTH CAROLINA -- There was some big news in the education world a few weeks ago that you might have missed.

The Rowan-Salisbury School District became the first "renewal school system" in the state.

Lynn Moody, the superintendent of Rowan-Salisbury Schools, spoke with Spectrum News Reporter Reuben Jones to explain how the designation gives the school district “charter-like flexibility” and how that will impact thousands of students.
