RALEIGH -- The story of a young man's quest to find the meaning of life is taking center stage in the capital city this weekend. The classic Broadway musical "Pippin," is set to entertain thanks to the North Carolina Theatre Conservatory.

Spectrum News anchor Caroline Blair sat down with two of the shows stars, Kalyse Connor who plays Leading Player, and Evan Tylka who plays Pippin. Put on by the Conservatory's Master Summer Theatre Art School, the production is showcases what these students have learned over the four-week camp.

Camp directors say during their summer stint, they focus on pre-professional training and musical productions with students in middle to high school. Leading the charge for the play is Tito Hernandez, the Conservatory’s dance department’s head. He brings more than two decades of experience in Broadway theatre, directing and choreographing this adaptation of Pippin.

If you would like to come and take in the North Carolina Theatre Conservatory's production of Pippin, the play runs Friday through Sunday at the A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh. Tickets start at $15.
