Raleigh-- Coping with stress and stressful times is what Dr. Jeff Brown is trained to do as a Psychologist.  The Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School has faced a lot of heartache in his own life, that he's chosen to share to the public and through a number of books.

For the last 20 years, Dr. Jeff Brown has been the lead Psychologist for the Boston Marathon.  And he was on the scene back in 2013 when the bombing killed several and injured many more.  He said that day forever changed his life.  But tragedy struck again later that year, when his 6 year old son Grant drowned while at a day camp in Chapel Hill.

Spectrum News anchor Caroline Blair sat down with Dr. Brown for some advice on how we all can tackle tragedy head on.
