FAYETTEVILLE -- An early morning shooting at the Carolina Motor Inn at 2533 Gillespie Street, Fayetteville, has resulted in the death of a Cumberland County man.
Deputies responded to the call shortly before 4:00 am.
The victim, Kelvin Deon Jones, 27, was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The body of the victim will be transported the North Carolina Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.
