CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Jerome Robinson's basketball career took flight as a Broughton High School Capital and it could land him with a NBA team as early as Thursday night.

  • Robinson played collegiately at Boston College, averaging 20.7 points for the Eagles last season.
  • Will be on hand at the NBA Draft in Brooklyn on Thursday night.
  • Robinson would become the first Broughton alum selected in the NBA Draft since Shavlik Randolph.

Robinson played collegiately at Boston College and enjoyed a successful junior season, averaging 20.7 points for the Eagles last season.

Robinson decided to make the jump to the NBA, and will be on hand at the NBA Draft in Brooklyn on Thursday night.

His summer has been a busy one as he auditioned for eight different teams, and according to many mock drafts, Robinson's stock has been on the rise.  That rise hasn't come without putting in some long hours and hard work.

"It's a lot of travel," Robinson said Tuesday. "It's not always perfect, but you have to have that mentality that it's 'on to the next one.'  It's a once-in-a-lifetime thing. So you gotta think about this being your dream. You've been waiting for this moment. This is part of the NBA. This is part of the process. Just sticking with that mentality, and just pounding through it."

Robinson would become the first Broughton alum selected in the NBA Draft since Shavlik Randolph was taken in the 2005 Draft.
