CHARLOTTE, N.C. – One Panthers fan got the surprise every die-hard football fan would ever dream of: going to a Super Bowl game.

Man of the Year finalist Greg Olsen gifted Dean Adcock two tickets to Super Bowl LII in addition to travel and hotel accommodations during a meeting Monday.

According to the team’s website, Adcock has been a Panthers fan since birth and is a member of the team’s flag football league for children with disabilities.

Adcock thought he was attending a summit with other Panthers Challenger Flag Football League team members and that’s when Olsen showed up and introduced him as an assistant coach saying, “I heard you’re the coach, you got all the plays and secret stuff.”

Adcock was one of the first players on the team 13 years ago. He later aged out of the program, but is still involved.

Adcock plans to take his brother, Jonathan, to the game against the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles in February
