Earlier this month, Governor Roy Cooper declared a state of disaster for the state fisheries.
Dock master Tripp Brice says it's been a struggle on the water for fisherman.
Shellfish in particular in are still extremely hard in good condition.
"It was a solid month before anybody even looked at coming back here and just because of the weather that followed the storm water never really got a chance to clean up. It was the time of year that fish migrated, everything went offshore and didn't come back," said Brice.
Governor Cooper Requested $12 million to help North Carolina fisheries with recovery.
Only $1.6 million was funded.
