WILMINGTON, N.C. -- A cold front continues to exit into the Atlantic, and a chilly airmass continues to blow into the Carolinas. Sunshine is building in through the way, and highs will top out in the 50s.

  • In many spots in the area, a freeze is on the way tonight
  • Sunday will be dry with continued cool temps.....highs in the 50s
  • Our next storm system then arrives Monday

In many spots in the area, a freeze is on the way tonight. Wilmington and coastal areas might remain a touch above freezing, but many spots in the area will likely wind up below freezing by Sunday morning.

Sunday will be dry with continued cool temps.....highs in the 50s.

Our next storm system then arrives Monday. By late Monday rain becomes likely, and rain will highlight the Monday night and Tuesday forecast.

Rain totals on the order of 1-3" look likely Monday into Tuesday.

Following that system, more chilly air is on the way for the remainder of the work week.
