CRAVEN COUNTY -- Some voters in Craven County will be voting in new locations this Election Day.

  • Voters who were registered at the time of the change were notified of their new voting location by mail
  • The Director of the Board of Elections encouraged residents to vote despite the location changes
  • Hurricane Florence damaged sites in precincts in Havelock and New Bern

Hurricane Florence damaged sites in precincts in Havelock and New Bern, causing the Board of Elections to transfer the sites. 

Officials at the Craven County Board of Elections said voters who were registered at the time of the change were notified of their new voting location by mail.

The Director of the Board of Elections, Meloni Wray, encouraged residents to vote despite the location changes. 

“With everything going on in the world, in your state, in your country, in your towns, the only way you can make a difference is to exercise your right to vote,” said Wray.

Here is a list of all voting precincts affected by Hurricane Florence and where residents can vote:

Craven County:

  • #2 Havelock will now vote at New Beginnings Ministry of Faith at 30 Park Lane in Havelock
  • #21 Brices Creek will now vote at New Song Church at 521 W. Grantham Road in New Bern
  • N5 Glenburnie Park precinct will now vote at H.J. Macdonald Middle School's gymnasium at 3127 Elizabeth Ave. in New Bern

Bladen County:

  • Bethel Precinct will now vote at Singletary United Methodist Church at 241 Third St in Dublin

Brunswick County:

  • #6 Bolivia is now voting at the Brunswick County Cooperative Extension Office at 25 Referendum Drive, Building N in Bolivia
  • Precinct 20 (Secession 2) is now voting at Caison's Creek Clubhouse at 1720 Caison's Creek Drive Southwest in Supply

Columbus County:

  • Ransom Precinct will now vote at the Ransom Event Center on Highway 11

Pender County:

  • Middle Holly Precinct will now go to the Maple Hill Fire Department 

New Hanover County:

  • H12 voters will now go to Blair Elementary School at 416 Edgewater Club Road in Wilmington
  • W30 voters will now go to JC Roe Center at 2875 Worth Drive in Wilmington
  • W24 voters will vote at the UNCW Burney Center which shares a parking lot with the original location
  • CF06 voters will vote at the Northside Kids Check-In Room at Northside Baptist Church
