  • The men's first home game is Nov. 12
  • The women's basketball team has their first home game Nov. 9

It’s been a tradition since coach Williams came back to Chapel Hill from Kansas. It gives UNC fans a chance to take part in the team’s first practice while giving the student athletes a taste of what's to come.

With hardcore fans watched closely, doing their own scouting report.

"I want to see how Coby does and I want to see how Luke Maye does in his senior year," fan Josh Raynor said.

The 16th annual Late Night with Roy was also the first time fans got to see basketball play on the newly named Roy Williams court.

Coach Williams knows the fans at the Dean Dome for the start of the basketball season all want to see it end the same way, with a championship.

The women's basketball team, who also has a promising squad this year, has their first home game Nov. 9 vs Kent State.

The men's first home game is Nov. 12 against Stanford.
