MINT HILL, NORTH CAROLINA – Two days after Carolina Panthers kicker Graham Gano made one of the most memorable kicks in team history, he received a hero's welcome at Lebanon Road Elementary School at a Play 60 event.

The team and The Dairy Alliance chipped in $10,000 to help make improvements to in-school nutrition.

At the event, Gano talked about the science behind his kick. He says everything from weather to foot placement plays a part in every kick. Sunday, it all came together in an unbelievable moment.

“It was a little bit breezy that day. I got to give a lot of credit to Mike, my holder, for giving me a great hold. We can kind of manipulate the conditions with different leans and stuff," he said. "I think adrenaline has a lot to do with it. First and foremost, I can't do my job without the guys in front of me. If that kick gets blocked at the line there's no chance, so our guys did an awesome job up front."

Gano took home that game winning ball.
