CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The former girlfriend of Kevin Olsen spent a day and a half on the witness stand for testimony Tuesday. She’s accusing Olsen of assault and rape back in February 2017.

  • Three people gave testimonies Tuesday
  • Kevin Olsen's accuser, his roommate and a friend of the accuser took the stand
  • If convicted, Olsen could face up to 10 years in prison

Alidia Hannon says she saw her best friend for the first time two weeks after she was allegedly assaulted and raped by Kevin Olsen. She testified in court Tuesday and faced a cross-examination of identifying multiple text messages. She claims she doesn't remember seeing the text, but offered up how her friend was feeling after it all happened.

"She loved Kevin. Thought she never thought something like this would happen," Hannon said.

Toward the end of the evening, Mitchell Monska took his place at the stand. He's Kevin’s former UNC Charlotte teammate and roommate. He was also one of the first people who saw Olsen’s accuser after everything allegedly happened that February night.

"My first emotion was upset at first. She did say he tried to hang himself in the bathroom and made sure he was OK," Monska said.

Monska went to check on Olsen, who was sound asleep. He did, however, corroborate what Olsen's accuser talked about Monday. A phone cord was found on the shower door. Still, he says he didn't hear anything coming from Olsen's bedroom that night.

After a quick redirect and subsequent re-cross, court went into recess.
