CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- New Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper is donating $1.5 million to help people impacted by Hurricane Florence.

  • $1 million will go to the American Red Cross
  • The rest will go to food banks and high school athletic programs
  • Fans will have a chance to donate during Sunday's game

The David Tepper Charitable Foundation and Carolina Panthers charities announced a $1 million donation to the American Red Cross and $450,000 will go to regional food banks for emergency food packs. The rest will go to high school athletic programs impacted by storm damage.

Panthers fans will also have the opportunity to make cash donations throughout Bank of American Stadium during Sunday's game when the team plays the Cincinnati Bengals.
