JACKSONVILLE, N.C. -- Police have arrested three men after investigating a looting incident that took place during Hurricane Florence.

  • Officers discovered a broken window at the Athlete's Foot at 2075 N. Marine Boulevard
  • The investigation led to an undercover operation on Sept. 18. 
  • Dozens of pairs of shoes, along with dozens of stolen pieces of clothing, were recovered

On Sept. 14, officers discovered a broken window at the Athlete's Foot at 2075 N. Marine Boulevard.

The investigation led to an undercover operation on Sept. 18, in which the suspects were using the online app Letgo to sell stolen goods to undercover officers.

All three were charged and taken into custody without incident. Dozens of pairs of shoes, along with dozens of stolen pieces of clothing, were recovered.
