Our region rivers and streams continue flooding as the bulge of water from the heavy rains continue working towards the Atlantic.

  • Showers and storms possible starting Sunday
  • Additional rain could cause flash flooding
  • Don't drive on flooded roads

It's a slow, dangerous process that is constantly changing roads that are flooded and roads that are not.

Please pay attention to your local emergency management officials, the highway patrol and other law enforcement agencies. DO NOT drive around barricades or attempt to cross roads that are flooded.

High pressure will bring dry conditions to eastern North Carolina through Saturday. We'll start seeing a daily chance for showers and storms Sunday and through much of the week next week.

Keep in mind, any additional rain could cause flash flooding to develop over already saturated areas.
