Now into the first full workweek of September, we continue to feel the summertime heat and humidity statewide. As high pressure dominates both the upper and lower levels of the atmosphere, we'll look for sparsely scattered showers and storms each day.

We're heading into another day of near 90-degree heat Tuesday for many across the coast with a chance for a few scattered showers set to develop along the seabreeze Tuesday afternoon. Expect partly cloudy skies Tuesday night with a few showers possible early Wednesday morning across the southeastern coast.

Wednesday through Friday will feature a very similar weather pattern. By the upcoming weekend, we'll finally start to see a bit of a change in the weather pattern allowing for an increasing chance for daily showers and storms along with a cool down back to seasonable temperatures.
