A tropical wave is heading into the Gulf of Mexico and will likely develop. The Hurricane Center has classified it as "Potential Tropical Cyclone #7" but it will likely be named "Gordon" within the next 24 hours or so. The forecast is for it to be a fairly strong tropical storm as it makes landfall later Tuesday somewhere near New Orleans. On that track there will be little if any impact for us. Our Labor Day will feature very warm and muggy conditions again with just a few storms around, mainly inland. Be safe! Happy Labor Day!
