WILMINGTON, N.C. -- A quiet weather pattern is allowing for more sunshine and hot afternoons.

  • Only a few late day thunderstorms are expected to help cool things down for Thursday
  • Friday will bring a slightly better chance for afternoon and evening thunderstorms
  • With scattered storms and more clouds high temperatures should stay in the mid to upper 80s for Saturday and Sunday

Only a few late day thunderstorms are expected to help cool things down for Thursday, otherwise look for highs in the upper 80s to low 90s across much of eastern North Carolina, with mid to upper 80s along the immediate coast. Of course, the humidity will make it feel a few degrees warmer.

Friday will bring a slightly better chance for afternoon and evening thunderstorms and an even better chance for the weekend.

With scattered storms and more clouds high temperatures should stay in the mid to upper 80s for Saturday and Sunday.
