If you have outdoor plans this weekend, you'll want to keep a close eye on radar especially if those plans are in the afternoon or evening.

We should make it through most of the daytime hours Friday with very little rain across central North Carolina.  Much of the day will be partly cloudy with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 at our beaches and the low to mid 90s inland.  By evening, scattered storms could develop around the region and linger well into the night.

Saturday and Sunday will both bring partly sunny conditions with scattered storms during the afternoon and evening.   Highs both days will be in mid to upper 80s at our beaches to near 90 inland.

Some of the storms this weekend could produce frequent lightning and locally heavy downpours.
