WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Wilmington police have identified a man shot and killed early Monday morning.         

Officers say 31-year-old Reubin Irvin was shot several times in the 500 block of Harnett Street.

A shot-spotter device detected the gunfire just before 1 a.m.

Irvin died later at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

No suspect information has been released but police believe the deadly shooting was an isolated incident.
