CONCORD, N.C. -- The Concord Police Department welcomed three new K9’s to the department.

Kodi, Wolf and Csubi, have all been certified in a full patrol capacity.

 

Kodi, who has been partnered with Officer David Mertz since November, is a one-year-old Belgian Malinois and has been working with narcotics detection and suspect apprehension.

Wolf is a two-year-old German Shepherd and is partnered with Officer Joel Patterson and was certified back in May.

Csubi, who replaces recently retired K9 Rico, is an 18-month-old German Shepherd and is partnered with Officer Trey Brown.

Each K9 lives with their handler.
