The forecast is a bit hot for this middle of July Monday. Fortunately, extreme heat is not expected, but temperatures will be running near to just slightly above average in the afternoon. Highs should top out near 90 inland and upper 80s for our beaches. The humidity will make it feel like the mid to upper 90s.

We will see a mix of clouds and sun for most of the day Monday. There is just a slight chance for a few isolated showers and storms by early evening.

Tuesday and Wednesday bring a higher chance for showers and storms as a front moves into North Carolina. High temperatures will be near 90 inland and mid 80s at our beaches.

Very little rain is forecast for the second half of the week and highs should remain in the upper 80s. Shower and storm chances will return for the upcoming weekend.
