The 'Latinas Finas de las Carolinas' organization is calling on the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office role in detaining immigrants.

In talking to the sheriff's office, they say no local law enforcement agencies have authority over executive or federal orders and cannot intervene in any government crack downs.

"This is not a party issue or a political issue in that sense. It’s about humanitarians. We need to speak up as humans that this is not right in our city right now," said Yamile McBride, founder of Latinas Finas de las Carolinas.

Advocates say they'll keep appealing to law enforcement officers' duty beyond the badge.
