GREENVILLE, N.C. -- A man has been arrested after a fatal hit and run.

• Steven Keel charged with felony hit and run
• He struck Charles Smith, Jr. early Saturday morning
• Keel was arrested after police executed a search warrant at his home Sunday

Steven Keel, 33, has been charged with felony hit and run resulting in death after striking 25-year-old Charles Smith, Jr. early Saturday morning.

It happened in the area of North Memorial Drive and West Gum Road.

Keel was arrested after police executed a search warrant at his home Sunday.

He's being held at Pitt County Detention Center.
