WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Another technical glitch forced American Airlines regional carrier PSA to cancel flights Sunday night and Monday morning, including several out of Wilmington International Airport.

  • Second time since Friday this has happened
  • It's a busy time of year for the airport
  • Officials advise passengers to check their flight status before flying to or from ILM using American Airlines

It's the second time since Friday that the carrier has dealt with the issue.

Airport officials say the cancellations come at a busy time of year for the airport.

"This time of the year, it's a busy travel season. School's out, a lot of people are traveling right now...vacations. So it's busy. We typically do have a few seats open every now and then, but right now with this happening, all of our seats are booked," said Director of Operations Gary Taylor.

If you plan on traveling to or from ILM using American Airlines, you should check your flight status before heading to the airport.
